My love for sarees! (1 of many)

Wearing sarees gives me a high! Many may consider it traditional and backwards but for me it’s the sexiest attire for a woman! No garment or less of cloth can make a woman make and feel sexier!

Look 1: that’s one of my most Fashion forward, in-trend look… The Dhoti Saree! The drape is easy but peeing is a task! You have loads of tutorials on you tube to tie on if those. Worth a trial for sure!

Look 2: the classic look. Simple white crisp cotton saree! These are easy to carry and gives a very graceful look. Wear them with traditional jewellery pieces to enhance the overall appeal!

Look 3: the festive look! A bright coloured handloom saree with tradition statement jewellery ; bindi on forehead and flowers in your bun! You are set to rock the occasion!

Many more looks to follow! Happy draping…

Be stylish.. be awesome!

Mothers- Travel tips & looks are here for you!

When you travel with a little one, all you want is comfort clothing coz that’s what is required at the end of the travel tunnel. From breastfeeds to changing diapers to rushing to loos for poop alarms!…All this and more to manage for any parent is a task!

The task gets ambitious when the case is of a fashionista mom without any help around. And this where am stepping in to give some useful tips to the new mom’s. My lo is 4+ now so I feel quite experienced.

We have travelled by air, road and trains with some small time travel on boats too!

– The first tip will be to wear something light and wear in layers. So in case it’s cold you can be comfortable. With layers on its easier to feed babies. And also you can clean your hands every time you or the baby spills something…I understand that even if we carry wet tissues, towels, ets it’s not practically possible each time with a little one to even open your bag for yourself.

– Second tip: wear easy slip on shoes. Go for flats or wedges. Keep heels for later. Since leg space is not great all the time in flights, even in cars you want to sit easy, in trains again you can’t be sitting always…so easier to just slip out and in your shoes each time and quickly. You don’t want to waste time in tying your shoe laces…so be mindful

– Third tip would be that whatever pants you choose to wear, make sure it’s not tedious to close the zip or that buckle. If wearing Indian salwar kameez, better to opt for salwar with elastic I/o drawstrings. Saves time and is convenient if Baby is with you in washroom while you are peeing or whatever!!

THE TRAVEL LOOKS ✈️ 🚂 🚘 🚤

@zara jeggings / white sneakers (fake shoelaces)/ long sleeve button down shirt/ Adidas jacket with Red bobby brown lips and @forevernew sunglasses

@Only handkerchief hem dress/ oversized denim jacket with embroidery/ white sneakers 👟

@cottons printed suit with easticated palazzo pants/ wedges on foot

These were few of my experiences shared with fellow mothers. If you find them useful do let me know. Also in case you need any kind of travel tips, am reading all here!

Happy travels: Safe travels

Get up you lazy Momma!

Ok ok..I know you all are not lazy. Not at all. Your day is full of things to do for your family, husband, in-laws, kids and whom so ever it may concern. But what about yourself? In my head am thinking if this is what I need to tell myself actually!

I, like any other women in this world dreams to be this fit sexy bitch the world loves to love! But to get that awesomeness in myself I have to give priority to myself. Pulling myself out of bed in morning, rushing for office, working their like a donkey or a bitch whatever you consider yourself, running back home, taking care of your kid..feeding him.. putting him to bed.. singing him lullabies..feeding family and myself..when I look at the clock it’s already 11ish! After that I just want to relax and sit back read or write something. That’s it! For in numerous times I downloaded all those 7 minutes workout apps BUT alas you have to use them to loose weight. Only downloading does not heLp! So sad…

While I keep pushing myself and all of you to get in that fitness mode… I have to take you all to the shortcut or the cheat street to be not caught as the lazy ass by the world around us!

1) Green Tea – this definitely does some magic to me. And people around you think you are one serious chick working hard to loose that extra inch (brownie points baby)

2) Warm water – instead of normal or cold temperature water, drink warm water the whole day. It helps

3) Less Carbohydrates – instead of eating equal proportions of wheat /rice and vegetables…eat more veggies & proteins in form of fish or lentils and less rice or breads in your meals

4) Dress up – as I always say, dress stylish. Don’t wear tight fitted clothes which will only show all your love tyres around your waist but instead choose fits those are not too tight nor loose. Make you feel good but not uncomfortable.

4) Wear your attitude & if possible heels too – wearing heels improves your posture and gives you a slender feel . If you are mom, let the daddy carry the child for once. Its ok!!

P.S. All the below pics are after I had my child. AND I do have my c-sec belly fat!

Stay stylish💕

AM  HaPPiest wHen DanCIng! 🕺💃🕴️

One of my son’s favourite rhymes is”If you are happy and you know it, clap you hands..clap..clap”
My version goes as..”If you are stressed and you wanna be happy..dance…dance”

Everyone should have a switch on and off to their brains ! With such a demanding stressed out life we all are leading, there are times when you just want to switch yourself out of that chaos and be in your own zone. Different people have different formulas to do that..cooking, reading, traveling, playing sports, gossiping, watching tv, taking out the frustration on someone else… well mine is dancing.

DancIng is mediation for me..it keeps me positive and my soul happy!! It doesn’t matter if you are technically sound or not in any of the dance forms..I am not! Never been trained.  But still I dance..I dance from my heart…music brings life to my body and energy from within…and I just flow with the music in my world…moving and swinging along…

People go to parties you know for having a good time with friends on dinner and drinks..but for me the best evening would be where I can dance my heart out ; Where am so engrossed dancing that when am off my stilettoes am unaware…

Top 5 reasons to start Dancing if you haven’t yet :

1) Brings Happiness to you 😊

2) Helps in weight management 🔩 without feeling the pain in gym or dieting

3) Makes your body flexible

4) Popularity. For people at any party.. they look up to someone who starts the dance of the evening and you will instantly become the heart and life of the party

5) It increases your hotness quotient 😉 if you have the moves..you gotta show it baby.

Worth a try! Isn’t it?

Stay happy!! Keep dancing!!💞

What this MoM  is wearing this winters?? 🐧☃️❄️🌨️👢

Winters are best enjoyed when your fashion and comfort both go hand in hand. Fashion that keeps you cozy and warms up your heart.

From parties to picnics…check all out!

Look 1 : This is for Birthday party of my Son at our place with friends and family in attendance. Something like this calls for a nice comfortable dress which looks chic and at the same time gives you freedom to move around freely attending and serving your guests..playing with your kid and his friends. I choose to wear this cute black beaded @mango dress providing the correct amount of glitter with cutest @pramod fur collar cardigan

Look 2 : Picnic Outing . Winters are the time for picnics with your loved ones. Delhi an otherwise warm city is all nice and sunny in winters, perfect for these outings. I choose to wear @veromoda trousers with a very smart back zipper detail adding all the glamour and right fit, pastel powder blue knitted top with an Olive color leather jacket. Olive leather jackets are a must in your wardrobe & trending this season. Add your leather boots and tie your hair up..so you can run around your kid like a kid

Look 3 – Loads of parties are lined up in winters..so sharing few of my favorite party looks.

I teamed up my hand beaded @Lovelabel black raw silk dress with a gold sequinned jacket from the same fashion brand. I love their stuff. Leave your hair open and go wild and sexy!!

In another of my look for a girls party, I teamed my very old woollen dress with leather boots and open hair. This woollen dress is in my closet from past 9 year and I pull it out every season and love wearing it for its comfort , color, coziness

Stay stylish, stay inspired 💞
Much love, Sujata 💕

Can this Fashionista Mom..be a good Mom??!! ❣️🤔😎💭🚺⁉️

What’s the definition of a good mother? Who has defined what an ideal mother should be like? Am I one of those good & ideal mom’s the world admires ??

Well why do we mom’s even need to think about all these questions? Is it because I feel am being judged all the time! Think so yes… I feel a section of society or few from even my family take me by doubt if I think what to wear today or take 10 mins extra to put on my make up?

Do you love your baby…Yes, ofcourse ..I do!! Why are you even asking me…

Do you love fashion…Yes, I do!!
But how can you be 200% “The Mommy” if you aren’t thinking about your baby, his food, his routine…blah..blah..and stopping at your wardrobe thinking about which clothes to wear for work tomorrow!

The world wants the mothers to be on their toes all the time either taking care of the babies, or cooking, or cleaning, or taking care of seniors, or … basically is busy doing something for others rather than herself!!…ugghh..stupid!  Well I had to grow up and grow out of this…AND so should you girl!!

Am a working mom and besides being the best mom in the world I have to prove myself the best at my job as well…Fashion derives my passion! Whichever job you maybe in but you can’t look like as if you are disinterested and coming to your job is just a.. you know.. routine thing…or you have any less interest in your job than your colleagues…

So you got to get up and take notice of yourself…stare yourself in the mirror and see if you wish to change anything…

Your baby is in love with you already…he doesn’t wants his mom to be loving him w/o loving herself. Just plan your day in such a way that you can take out some time for yourself, keep yourself motivated, pray or meditate for a while, exercise regularly even if for 10 mins, eat healthy, dress well. Your baby is the magic you created and you can keep him as happy as you feel from within!!

As I always say, keep it simple yet stylish!!

How & What I am wearing :

1) Wear on your basic jeggings @only with a comfy crop top @forever21 ; comfy all day long ballerina from @H&M and put on a biker jacket 100% leather to give yourself that edge at your workplace

2) Slip in a nice knee length dress, make sure the fit is right. {In case of bulges please workout and wear those aweful uncomfortable shapewears…} Accessories to add on will be your shades, watch, statement earrings, ring, bag and wedge heels for comfort

3) Patterned printed stretchable pants and w/o sleeves ivory silk shirt with Chinese collar from  @vanhausen . Throw on a blazer to get that semi formal office look. Again wedge heels for comfort and hair bun for fun!!

Stay inspired, Stay stylish!!

“Aww…”has to be my Favorite word & emotion..!! What’s yours? Share here…

Awww…my baby!! Aww…thats such a sexy piece… I need it in my wardrobe!! Aww….you all are just so sweet guys!! Aww…that’s so beautiful…! Aww…I don’t believe that this just happened to me….

Above is how am in my life! Full of Aww ‘s…💕

The biggest two aww moments in my life are (1) My Marriage (2) My Motherhood…I LOVE my babies to and from the bottom/ core of my heart! (Husband = A big baby) 💖👣💍

I never got my dream boyfriend which I wanted for the longest time in my early twenties!! Finally I decided to agree to the idea of arranged marriages. Luckily I found love there… lots of it!! I guess like all girls, getting married was making me anxious..leaving my mom, bro, home all behind was big for me ; I was preparing myself to adjust myself into a new family, relationships, new family rules, etc . But I was definitely looking forward to becoming someone’s life partner, sharing love and food… Excitement and hope of having lots of laughs & sex together (guess my favorite part ❣️)…so overall it was a bag of mixed emotions.

Then after 5 years we were ready to go to the next level..so the baby was planned and by God’s grace our son arrived in the next 9 months!! What a planning 😎 The moment I had this 3.7kg tiny little life in my hands, I knew that in my life from here on I can’t love anyone or anything more than this soul in this world!!  👶 To join back work after I had my baby was one of the toughest emotional battle I fought with myself.. actually …this emotion was even more stronger than the anxiousness of getting married and the thought of leaving your family
I don’t enjoy my work now as I did earlier… all I want now is run back straight home after work… cuddle & laugh & play with my bundle of joy!! Motherhood gave me something else… Something what words fail to explain..Happiness, a sense of achievement, an excitement, a hope , a belief and believe me much more that that…which possibly can’t be explained. Its something which you can only experience…as a parent…as a mother!

We all have our love and weaknesses for somebody on this earth…could be anyone for you!! The one for whom our hearts beat or could even miss a beat…

Whoever you love in this world, just make sure it’s always from the heart..don’t try to show anything to the world . It should be just for the two of you..to feel, to believe, to fall upon..Even if distances are more ,  try and not miss that one thing in your relationship which you both couldn’t live without at one time..

Keep loving & spreading love all round you, be hopeful, be patient, be adorable

Share you story with me here…let’s share and celebrate the loves of our very being…
Love, Sujata 💕

My SiX yards of LovE…!! Timeless Elegance… Incredible Indian Handlooms 👣

This Fashionista MoM loves wearing her saree…its the 6 yards of pure sexyness i bet any lady can resist wearing and any men admiring!! Be it India or around the world…

Compliments every body type..short or tall, fat or thin, size 12 or size 2…big boobs or small hips…it won’t let any one down!! I wore sarees on the traditional pujas & ceremony during my last trimester and the results were just so cute!! These beauties can make even a big difficult to move football look so graceful and elegant. {Let me know if you wanna get a glimpse and I will share my pics }

I totally believe that Saree = Elegance Personified =Sexy =Classy = Timeless

Even after post delivery when you are still there with a pair of enlarged size of breasts and a kangaroo pouch attached to yourself with loads of stretch marks….the sarees were one of my most favorite pieces to hide all these imperfections !

I love my Indian handlooms and vouch for them. My love for handlooms is pretty much known & evident in my social circle. I leave no chance of dressing up myself & now a days my lil one in these beautiful handloom weaves from our different Indian villages. My better half also is one of the “Kurta & kolhapur chappal loving guys”…We are lucky to have stores like @fabindia @anokhi @nalli @goodearth and many others such outlets which help us to buy these textures so conveniently. Adding links to my favorite stores for easy ref  https://www.goodearth.in/ ; http://www.fabindia.com/ ; http://www.nalli.com/ ;  http://www.anokhi.com/anokhi/our-shops.html

My latest love is wearing these traditional handloom sarees with a twist!! The fusion twists are explained & shown via pics below…so go on reading guys…its not over yet..

Here am wearing an Indigo saree from @nalli…a must have color…block printed on Chanderi Silk. For the twist part, I teamed it up with an ivory silk @Van Heusen top. I love silver jewellery , those jhumkas are to die for!! If you don’t own silver jewellery…you are absolutely missing on something very big sweetie…My ladoo baby wears a @fabindia kurta pyjama with elan and rocks the look!!

In my next am wearing a rust color Maheshwari print saree from the villages of west begal (East of India) The fabric is 100%cotton and super comfy fabric. Twist is the drape…this drape is called the “Dhoti Saree”… If you wish to wear, tutorials are available on YouTube easily..or tell me I will send you the link I used to drape it. Again teamed with a top and a bag my friend got me from Bangkok streets … I repeat my silver necklace here!!

In my last ( but not the least) look am wearing again a very traditional cotton handloom saree from down south. I especially requested one of my sothindian colleague to get it for me. I was in love with the feel of sheer purity and radiance this saree gives you … drape it traditionally, wore some traditional gold jewellery, add fresh flowers to your hair and you will look no less than a godess yourself.

Feel like a Diva, swim like a lotus amidst the sea of admirers…drape these are feel like the most gorgeous women on planet earth…am sure the men will agree !!

The Colorful Outing!! #travel 🏜🚗📸🍹#life☀ #love 💞#motherhood 👶#fashion 💄 #photoblogging 👒👠📿

This blog is dedicated to our recent holiday amidst the sea of sand, blue & the golden cities of colorful Rajasthan. To my non Indian friends…Rajasthan is among the one of the top travel destinations for travellers around the world, Richie rich to back packers ..it interests both alike!! The place for destination weddings and royalty all over!! #travel

With every sparking job comes the stress related to it. Please picture my loving husband entering our lovenest..who most of the times can be seen wandering with a phone in his hand, either talking or checking on something on it. His job is the “other women” in our lives. Not so far behind is my job which is like the “essential boyfriend” you see…with the ever increasing expenses of living in a metropolitan city in any country of the world… raising a child..comes the burden of increasing the monetary sources. My job is something like a cushion to fall back on…or a way to pay all my maids who run my household in real terms…or to maybe take some holidays like these!! Husband’s salary is the bread, butter & gems of the household. #life
So my always so busy husband wanted to take us all on this road trip to Rajasthan ..for a long long time. Finally he started planning in the year beginning and with his constant push Me, my in-laws, my parents, my brother, my cousin and my uncle aunt agreed for this big long trip. I was sceptical of being on the roads for such long hours with a little kid and ageing parents but he managed to brainwash all of us brilliantly!  #love

Knock..knock…Oops am not talking about fashion. Ok..ok …I will come to that later…promise!!
What fun days we had..these 7 days were like we were on Christmas holidays after a lifetime! with our beautiful family around 24×7 ….peeps seriously you should all plan for these family holidays at least once an year…You will know what you were missing once you do it. Trust me!!

My lo had the most fun! Treated like a prince…by family , by all in the state of the Royals @rajasthan @rajasthantourism

Since Rajasthan = Sand…the days are hot and nights cold. Accordingly I packed both summer and light winter clothing for my so .

You can see him in the pics wearing both short & long sleeves shirts. Light weight full sleeves t-shirts & pants. Comfy covered shoes are a must. Hats and shades to protect from sun…don’t forget to apply @neutrogena sunscreen lotion before leaving for outdoors

Now MY fashion – the very moment my husband was planning the trip, all i was planning was what will I be wearing on this holiday. And I choose Ethnic , traditional, colorful outfits hands down. Rajasthan stands for royalty, colors, warmth, energy, passion…you don’t want to go there dressed in plain denims. And also since this was a family thing, I decided for no skin show.

LOOK 1 :
Our 1st outing was of Mehrangarh fort @jodhpur which is named as Blue city too. I choose to wear a parrot green SalwAr KamEez from @nalli for this day outing. My Indian friends must be well aware of the south Indian brand / shop @Nalli . For my non Indian friends @Nalli is a very famous old renowned brand from the south of India where you get excellent traditional sarees and dress material. The flowy printed chiffon duppta adds to the feminity, #shades from @rayban , #jewellery from @pinwheels , #shoes from @tresmode and my usual hair bun !!

LOOK 2 : This outing is at Umaid Bhawan, Jodhpur. I choose to go more comfortable and a little nomadic with this look. A long local boutique made Kurta on handloom fabric . Ripped denims and leopard printed pumps from @h&m , #shades repeat as above, usual bun ( bangs is kind of new addition to my hair cut) , #silverjewellery from local market

LOOK 3 : Reached the golden city of Jaiselmer. The city is all gold and yellow in color and so is my outfit.  I choose to wear this SalwAr KamEez from @nalli again. Loved the bright colors. #shades from @guess, #shoes from tresmode , #jewellery from @westside , highlight is the half hair bun..which is among the top hair trends currently!

As I always promote and motivate… Be inspired!! Stay stylish!!

Love, 💕
